Velma Cook a founding member of the GTMTA, is a graduate of the University of Western,  Ontario with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education.  Although mostly retired now, Velma has taught singing, piano and theory to students of all ages.  In addition she founded and directed the Celebration Children Choir in Collingwood and directed the Sound Investment Community Choir.  Velma was the music director at All Saints’ Anglican Church in Collingwood for many years.

Velma feels that it is a privilege to be a member of the Georgian Triangle Teachers Association and to presently serve as Secretary. She is greatly appreciated by all.
