Keiko Yoden-Kuepfer is a concert pianist, organist and accompanist. She has performed  internationally and locally, and has taught in high-schools and at the Osaka International University in Japan.  Sharing her experience and expertise with students and the local community, Keiko is currently the music director and organist at All Saints' Anglican Church in Collingwood.  Keiko is also involved in the Collingwood-Katano Sister-City Committee and is helping to develop a friendship between these two cities!

Keiko’s love of music blossomed when she began learning the piano in Japan at age seven.  By twelve years of age, she began studying the voice and then the organ.  By seventeen, she added the double-bass, studying in Europe. Keiko graduated from Soai Music High-School with a major in concert organ performance. She received BMusE (Hon) from Osaka National University and her ARCT (first class honours with distinction)  from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and from the Royal Canadian College of Organists.

Keiko has a music studio in Collingwood where she teaches both virtual and in-person lessons.

In-studio lessons are planned with safety guidelines. Two pianos are placed with social distance and students and teacher are sitting two meters apart with plexiglass divider in- between; an air purifier is running. Everyone is asked to wear a mask during the lessons and sanitize hands before and after the lesson. Instruments, chairs, and other touching points are disinfected before and after each class.

On-line lessons are also available. Web cameras capture my playing from the side and overhead, Students can see my demonstrations very clearly. External microphone and high-speed internet also help to share the quality of sound with the students at home!
